Speedbumps may seem trivial, but the rate of increasing safety is tremendous. Some communities do not have sidewalks or speedbumps. Speedbumps are a very important piece of child and pedestrian safety. How can you help if your community is without such an inexpensive safety option? I would like to say that it is simple, but it is not. It is a long process, but well worth the effort inputted. You can call or write your local city counsel and get a petition signed for support. You can also check whether your city has a public streets department. I contacted the public street department and they were able to guide me to the next step. Good luck.
